I remember as a young girl getting all dressed up in my Sunday-go-to-church clothes. We'd drive to the subway (Dad would not drive the car downtown), hop on the subway and go down to Maple Leaf Gardens. Our seats were always about midway, not too close but not too far up. After a short wait the lights would go out, the music would start, and colour and costumes and talent would glide over the ice. For 90 minutes to 2 hours I would sit, mesmerized by the show that unfolded in front of me. And although details of the show escape me today, the sense of awe and wonderment remain, as does the feeling of family, warm, fuzzy and comforting.

Flash forward upteen dozen years, and although it's a different show, the elements that inspire the awe and wonderment are all there. All that's missing is family. This is what ran thru my mind as I was setting up my blog. What was I going to say? Was there anything to say? Did I have anything relevant to say? Did anyone care what I had to say? Hmmmmmm!
